Good morning, another good nights rest and ready to start a new day. Hope to have pictures to put on here this evening. Was out and about yesterday, had brunch at a little cafe about a block from the house, was very good! then we walked about a mile to a grocery store, about the size of Columbia Foods in Umitilla, maybe a little larger, called the Metro. Most of the shops are very small and it is hard to really know what they are because everything is behind walls and gated. We did go into a bakery, that smelled so good! but their business , show room, was about half the size of my kitchen. We then rode a bus to Barianco a district about 10 miles from Chorrilla. What a wild ride that was! drivers here demand the road, honking is a way of life, honk at the car or cars in front of you at the side of you and the pedestrians. It is nothing to see three cars abreast on a two lane road, that isn't that wide either. We made it with out any crashes or scrapes. :) We then toured the plaza, went to a muesuem and just walked around, so guess that made about 3 miles of walking yesterday. Marco Jr. decided to get a taxi to take us home. That cost 7 solos (almost 3 dollars) for the four of us. It cost 50 each for us to ride the bus. I am thinking the taxi was the best as he did a good job and didn't scare me at all. (that is really saying something as I am a very nervous rider)
Today we are going to downtown Lima and that will be via bus or Marco Jr. will drive us, that remains up in the air. :) Well need to get ready to go so will add to this later this evening.
